4PL Fleet is a transport business operating within the South African bulk transport industry. The business was founded in 2010.
4PL Fleet is a bulk commodity carrier that owns and operates a fleet of side tipper vehicles. Our Fleet consist of 150 vehicles a combination of Scania and Volvo units coupled to Afrit side tipper trailers. 30 of these units are PBS units with a carrying capacity of 50 metric tons. Specialising in efficiently transporting large quantities of bulk commodities, we primarily focus on Ferrochrome, Chrome ore and export coal over long distances including cross border.
At 4PL Fleet, our strategic emphasis lies in transporting commodities via the Maputo Corridor to Maputo port, catering to the Eastern limb mines and smelters (Limpopo province) as well as the Western limb mines and smelters (Northwest province). While this forms our core operation, we also offer services to Durban and Richards Bay ports upon request.
Recognised as experienced transporters on the Maputo corridor, we prioritise the growth of our own capacity by partnering with stable, blue-chip companies operating in the Eastern and Western limb of South Africa. This approach allows us to maintain dedicated capacity per client with exceptional service levels. Our commitment, to product security is unparalleled.
We follow an aggressive vehicle replacement cycle, within a maximum of three years or 600,000 km, to ensure maximum uptime and reliability of our fleet. All our vehicles are under full R&M agreements with the different OEM’s. All the services of the vehicles are carried out at our state-of-the-art workshop facility in Mbombela.
Maintaining compliance with all relevant regulatory standards is key. Health and Safety is a top priority, and we are proud to be RTMS accredited. We have also been accredited by SARS with AEO status. We are dedicated to transformation and are 80% black owned with a BBEEE (Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment) Level 2 rating. We follow a continuous improvement methodology in all that we do.
